I prefer auto-save — changes I make will be saved and applied instantly in the background.

I prefer manual save — I’ll click a 'Save changes' button when I’m ready, and changes won’t be applied until then.

How would the error handling work for auto-saves compared to a manual save?

I'm a autosave lover personally, but I would definitely like to know if I will be notified of my work not saving because of an error.

    There should be both options.

Auto save in the background along with a manual save button to trigger the save whenever I'm ready to do so
