Data Files - where are they

Hi I am a long-term user of Reckon Personal & Business and I had to update my software to V31. I downloaded the new software but to install it I had to uninstall the old software. Before I did that I copied all the old files to my hard drive backup disc. Now I need to reinstall the data files but I can't find them in the backup. There is a long list of folders but none of them contain the right type of files to be able to reinstall my data files.

My question is - where are the data files kept and how do I find them?

I recommend taking a look at this knowledge article we created for the default location of Reckon Desktop software:

However, if you have deleted or removed the data files you may need to look at your recycle bin to retrieve them.

I have now found the data files and been able to restore all my data. They weren't where I expected them to be but I did a search for that type of file and located them.
