Super Report

Hi, Is there a report I can run quickly to show at the end of each payperiod all super did calculate at the current % rate. I had an employee who restarted with us last payperiod and though it is a common Super Fund it generated at 11% & not at 11.5% and yet if you run your eye down along the current Super Payroll Items it advises 11.5%. I look forward to you reply.

Hi @Kathyd,

Please open reports and go into the Payroll category, select Super transactions. Choose the reporting period (usually defaults to current month)

You should now have a Super report for each fund and the dates, employees name, and the rate they are currently sitting for that employee.

I don't think that you can generate a report with how much Super % employees currently has at the moment in Reckon Accounts.

I've tried a few things and even attempted a modify report and have not been able to make it come up.

@Alexis McKeown, do you have any suggestions on what Kathy could do?

Dear @Kathyd ,

You can generate a Super Report by Employee.

This report will show all payments for the Super made to the employee for each payrun the employee was a part of.

From there, you should be able to see precisely how much an employee was given in their Super per payrun, and check for any SA (Super Guarantee) amounts that do not line up to 11.5%.

Problem with that is that it can’t display the rate 11.5%, at least I couldn’t do that. And if the employees are not on a flat rate with no rate that doesn’t incur super the simple calculation of Gross x 11.5 doesn’t work

There isn't a way to display Super Rate in RAD/RAH.

This is mostly because it's a flexible entry in the Employee Records - if it was 11% at some point, then it gets modified to the correct value of 11.5%, then all reports where it would inherently show up would show it as 11.5% - beyond that, there is no "Rate" column you could add due to this variable amount.

It is best to try and find the specific dates where these figures do not match up and work from that point forwards. Unfortunately, this does require a little more legwork than usual reporting schemas, however, there would be a clear cutoff point where amounts do not add up. Adding in what the employee got paid and doing calcualtions based on that would give a more accurate look.

Adding the Sales Price column to the "Super Report by Employee" will actually show you the specific rate of Super on each Paycheque 😁 :

This is an old sample file & you can see that - regardless of there only being a single rate entry option per Payroll Item in an employee's record - this still shows the relevant rate used on each particular pay ☺️
