Change of ownership

Hi. We are selling our business and the new owners are going to use Reckon Accounts. They would like to be able to transfer all the customer and supplier information directly from my copy of Reckon Accounts to the Reckon Accounts program that they are purchasing. Is this possible?

Dear @Sue_10075371 ,
It is possible - you will need to export out your Customers and Suppliers list.
You can do this by doing the following:
- Go to File.
- Select Utilities.
- Select Export.
- Select Lists to IIF.
- In the Export window, select Customers and Suppliers.
- Press OK to export it.
The file will export out as an IIF file - you'll want to save this someplace safe and easy to access (your Documents or on Desktop).
After this, you can provide the new business owners this IIF.
They can import it by doing the following:
- Go to File.
- Select Utilities.
- Select Import.
- Select IIF files.
Once the IIF file is imported, the customers and suppliers will be imported in.
It should be noted: you cannot import or export transactions.
It's best if you provide them with a Balance Sheet or Open Invoices/Bills report so they can journal-in any remaining balances each Customer/Supplier may have.
