RAH - MS Edge Settings Restriction ?

I've recently switched my employer from RA desktop to Hosted. Although the recommended browser is Chrome (which is what I use), when RAH launches a new window (eg for Reckon portal login), it does so in MS Edge. Therefore, I want to import my autofill/passwords from Chrome but it appears Reckon has restricted the settings for it ????? 😩 :

When I click on the 3 dots for the dropdown menu & select Settings (on the Reckon portal login window that automatically generates), it displays this & prevents access to them ??? :

I contacted the employer's IT company & they had a look … but & it doesn't occur when opening MS Edge independently (eg outside of RAH) as they're not restricting anything 🤔

I'm sure that didn't used to be the case - Any ideas how to resolve it please ? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

From what I understand, the internal browser that opens in RAH is fairly locked down in terms of settings but also navigation ie. there are only selected sites and functions that can be accessed from that browser.

I believe this changed a couple of years ago when Hosted went through a system upgrade which also updated that internal browser from Internet Explorer to Edge. There's a bit more info on the internal browser following that upgrade here but unfortunately the settings/management menus in that browser isn't accessible.

As for the why, I'm sure it was explained to me a long while ago, which I've duly forgotten, but I believe its related to certain Microsoft dependencies that exist within the Reckon Accounts Hosted platform. I'm fairly certain the RAH product team investigated the possibility of adding another browser, specifically Chrome to replace the internal browser a number of years ago but it was found to not be feasible when it came to the complexity around technical challenges I believe.
