MFA Code - can it be sent to an email?

Can the MFA code be set up to be received to an email rather than sms to a mobile? When Im on holidays or away and boss wishes to use/check Reckon - it would be easier to get code via email. Can this be done??

Yes, you can set MFA using a browser authenticator extension, there's info on how to do this in Google Chrome here.
You will need to revoke your existing MFA first in order to set it to a new source and we've got a step by step guide on how to do that here - Revoking your current MFA from your Reckon Accounts Hosted account 🔓

Unfortunately no, but you can change the phone number to go to the boss's phone before you leave

Morning @Pivacadmin
No, email is not an option for MFA. You can set MFA via SMS or an authenticator app.
Take this with a pinch of salt but I was told many, many moons ago that email was not a permitted source for MFA as part of the ATO's STP framework for all software providers. I can't confirm the veracity of that though.

Yes I know I can change the phone number but it is awkward, if he wants to use software on a weekend, he has to wait until i forward him the code. Is there an option then to put 2 mobile numbers for the MFA Code or can the authenticator app be put onto computer desktop? Trying to find easy solutions. We do not wish to change mobile to boss's mobile full time as he is often away - would like a solution please

The point of 2fa is to keep your login secure, if you start spreading that out to more sources then it defeats the purpose.
You can put the authenticator on the browser though, that might help your situation

I understand the point of the 2fa to keep login secure but its the fricking owner of the business who wants to look thru the accounts - why is this such a problem?
I will try the authenticator onto the browser and see how that works.
I can change 2fa on other things to come via email, including ATO, Super etc all those precious things - as only myself and boss have access to my work email - no one else at all.
I definitely understand purpose of 2fa - Im not silly

Can I use any authenticator? When I add the Authenticator using Google Chrome - it wont let me use it as it says owner has limited access. Is this because we dont have a google account or gmail?

Can the MFA accept 2 mobile numbers for authentication?

@Pivacadmin an MFA code can only be sent to, or generated by, one source only per login.

@Pivacadmin Yes, if you're both using the same PC, the workaround is to install the MFA on there, instead:
