We need to change the date of an STP upload

Question

Hi, we had a payrun over the holidays which we paid a day early due to the public holidays. So we paid it on the 31st Dec instead of Jan 1st, but our paycheques and STP upload were still dated 1st Jan 2026. This needs to be changed to 31st Dec 2025 to match when it was actually paid. We did an 'update event' and then 'update a previously completed ATO submission'.

Was that the right way to update it? As the STP upload showing 1/1/26 is still there and now there is another saying 6/1/26 but not one saying 31/12/25.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can't change date of a submission but as Kris mentioned, I wouldn't worry about it.

Manually edit the bas prefill if you need to.

Thanks for the help. The BAS figures are incorrect and we will do a manual override. The updated STP still shows 6/1/26, there isn't a way to make that reflect 31/12/25 instead is there?
