Recurring Transaction failure

Hi,

I've set up a couple of recurring transaction templates in my book, one of which has just failed to complete. It has been working OK up until now (ironically, it's for my Reckon subscription).

The transaction history screen shows a transaction having been done, however the transaction doesn't appear on the Make Payment screen (as does another recent recurring transaction - see attached).

I guess I could delete the recurring transaction template & create a new one, however I thought I should report this as I can find no reason for it to have failed.

Any suggestions?

I just jumped in to have a look and I see what you mean. I'm also not sure why it seems to have fired on a number of occasions on the same day.

I notice the latest entry in the history is an edit. Did you make a change to this recurring transaction after noticing it not appearing in the payment list?

Hi Rav,

No, I didnt change anything, just went to the page to see if perhaps the finish date had been set too soon, but nothing seemed amiss when comparing this transaction to other successful ones. I did notice that there is a "classification" field on other templates, but not the troublesome one. Could that have anything to do with it?

Just looping back to this, I can see there is now a payment listed in the Make Payment list for the Reckon subscription dated 24 March.

Can I just confirm you didn't create this particular one manually?

Hi Rav,

I did create this manually. I gave it a few days to see if the transaction would automatically occur, but as our end of month is approaching, I wanted to be able to reconcile our accounts, so decided to add it in myself.

Our dev team are investigating this at the moment, but just have a quick question. Have you had any trouble with this particular recurring transaction prior to this particular run in March? ie. were there any issues with it in February as well?

I can see there's a payment listed in Feb but just want to confirm whether you created that manually and/or if anything occurred then as well or if this is the first occasion you've noted it failing to appear?

Hi Rav,

I created the recurring transaction sometime in November 2025, prior to the debit for 24 November (the first "automatic" recurring transaction), so there have only been a handful, and this is the first time it has failed. Everything prior to November 2025 was entered manually.

Just a quick update from the dev team. They believe this should now be resolved and they did some testing to confirm as much as they could although this was a tad limited.

The limiting factor is that the recurring transaction is set to monthly so a full and final verification would be wait until the next date for the transaction to fire which will be later in April.

There is a potential other step you could try to test just for your peace of mind but it's going to affect the occurrence interval of the transaction so I'd rather avoid it.

Instead, can I get you to just keep an eye on this particular transaction when it executes next which will be later in April. It shouldn't give any trouble but if it does, please ping me.
