Creating an invoice with timesheets.

I'm new to Reckon One, having come from years using Reckon desktop.

I've been trying to create an invoice using timesheets. I click on "Review and add to invoice", select the time data I want and click "Add". But nothing happens. The button doesn't change colour or flash or do anything to indicate something is working.

Have I got to activate something somewhere, change a setting or hold my tongue differently? Holding my tongue differently hasn't worked so far.

I just tried giving this a go in my own book to test it out and in my case anyway it seemed to work ok so maybe you just have to try a different tongue position 😅

Jokes aside, since you've mentioned you get to the point where it asks you to select the time entries for the invoice, I'm assuming the time entries have been set to billable on the timesheet and you've selected the relevant customer for the new invoice.

Is this the first occasion you're creating an invoice using time entries in Reckon One? Or has it worked correctly for you previously since moving over?

Hi Rav,

This is my first invoice on Reckon One. I've just had a phone-call from Reckon One support. Seems I might've made a mistake filling out the timesheets in not making them billable. You've suggested the same thing.

I've checked, billable has been selected and it's the right customer for the invoice.

I can manually input the relevant data to the invoice. Just annoying I can't do it with a couple of clicks.

Hi @Lance Arthy,

I have reviewed your account and noticed that the item you used currently does not have an amount specified in the setup. Please ensure that an amount is entered for the item so that the invoice will automatically populate the timesheets accordingly.

That's an unused item I should delete. Even so I've given it a nominal $1.00 but makes no difference, the "Add" button still doesn't respond.

My technology prowess is not great, beyond turn it off turn it on. My laptop tells me all available updates are installed. I've even done Ctrl+Shift+Esc → Windows Explorer → Restart because Dr Google says that might fix a malfunctioning cursor. Yeah, I'm clutching at straws here.

After further investigation, I found that a tax code needs to be entered as well for all items, including sub items. I applied the tax code to the item 01_012_0107_1_1 Public Holiday, and it is now correctly appearing on the invoice.
