We're super excited to let you know access to Colonial First State's FirstChoice Employer Super Clearing House is now available for Reckon Accounts Hosted customers!
As a reminder, Reckon has partnered with Colonial First State (CFS) to give Reckon Accounts customers free access to the FirstChoice Employer Super Clearing House - an easy way to keep paying employee super once the ATO Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) closes on 30 June 2026.
Getting started is super easy, here's what to do next:
1. Sign up to FirstChoice Employer Super
If you previously registered your interest, simply complete the CFS sign-up form you'll shortly receive via email from us. Within 1–2 days, you’ll receive a welcome kit and registration certificate from CFS.
2. Create your clearing house account
Once you've signed-up, you will receive a registration link in your welcome kit to create your clearing house account. You can then log in to start making super payments.
3. Setup your Reckon Accounts Hosted file and items for SuperStream
Check out our step by step checklist to ensure your items and company file is setup and ready to creating a SAFF file that you can upload to Colonial's FirstChoice Employer Super Clearing House.
Getting set up now means you’ll have everything ready ahead of the change and can continue paying super without disrupting your payroll process.

What’s changing and when?
The ATO will permanently close SBSCH at 11:59pm AEST on 30 June 2026. Employers must transition to an alternative solution before this date.
Who is affected?
Customers currently using SBSCH, particularly Reckon customers on Reckon Accounts Hosted, Reckon Accounts, and Cashflow Manager.
What solution is Reckon offering to legacy customers?
Free access to the FirstChoice Employer Super Clearing House by signing up with FirstChoice Employer Super – employers have the option to keep their existing default fund or choose FirstChoice Employer Super as their new default fund.
Does this limit fund choice?
No. Employers and employees can continue using their existing superannuation funds.
When can customers start?
Registration are now open.
What information is required?
Subject to confirmation: ABN/ACN, company name, primary contact name, and phone number.
What happens to SBSCH records?
The ATO advises customers to download their SBSCH transaction history before 1 July 2026. Records are available in PDF format only.
What if customers don’t move in time?
They risk failing to meet their superannuation guarantee obligations and may face compliance issues.
Is there any cost now or later?
No. The arrangement is intended to be free for Reckon customers.
