Hello, ive taken part in Reckons payday super webinar and read faq's, but i have a few queries still im hoping someone can help me with. In the past, we have printed payroll reports and entered super on a monthly basis- manually into the ato small bus clearing house. Moving forwards, I will be using Colonial as a clearing house and have registered and entered all our employees manually into our account.
- Can I start uploading data via SAFF into colonial before July 1st?
- How do I make sure there isnt a gap or overlap of super paid between changing over from paying monthly to every pay day?. (our payroll week runs from the wed to tues.) Our last lodgement and payment of super was for April.
- Upon downloading a Super Data Report in reckon as a test, some employees have no fund USI or ABN number showing. Why is this and is this ok?
- SMSF - does there need to be an Electronic Service Address in the employee information? Again there is no USI or ABN number showing.
- In the webinar, we were told to check our payroll items:super items and to 'change the name of the agency to reflect the new clearing house'. Currently, we have the name of each employees personal super fund in this section. Is this correct moving forwards?
- In Employee Super Details: the item name is currently the individuals super fund, not the 'Super Guarantee (default) /Type: Super guarantee act (SA). Is this correct moving forwards?
- I got the impression that I was to set up a default fund, which could be used towards any employee who doesnt provide super details straight away, in order for super totals to accumulate, until the correct fund details were provided. Is my understanding correct and is this just a 'dummy' fund?
- Some of my employees in Reckon have the employee number listed as "EMP 1" "EMP 2" for example. Ive tried to change this but it says it may upset STP reporting. However when i set the employees up in Colonial, I just used the number one or 2, with no EMP in front of it. Will this difference create an issue with a SAFF?
Thanks for your help 😊
