Entering glitch

I have just started using Reckon One on my Desktop.

So trying to get all reconciled and ready and a few things happen that I feel are odd.

1.Nearly every time I enter say a payment and enter the Amount, ie 36.04 and then save. It seems to just do the $36.00. So I have to go back in and correct it.

2. I select Add Payment and often I am about to add it, and poof the window disappears and it goes back to where I was, so I have to select Add Payment again. I am not sure why this happens, does it happen to anyone else and this is a glitch or just something I am doing.

I seem to be wasting a lot of time redoing items

I use Brave for Linux, and have not tried Firefox.

Is this occurring when you enter payments for an individual invoice on the invoice screen itself in this below section?

Or when you're applying payments on the Receive Money screen here?

If you could step me through the process you're going through that would be awesome, so I can get a better idea to test it out myself and see if I get the same result.

This is the screen mostly Rav, I am doing the Reconciliation or just checking off all Reckon One Transactions to make sure they are all there, and go to Add Payment Blue button to enter a payment,

I type in Date, Contact, Payment Method, Reference then go down to "New"

Enter Account, Description, Qld tab over 3 times to amount and type say $26.03 and save, but when I look at the transaction I only see $26.00.

Rav also just realised this occurs when typing in Received money, one item I typed $1665 and then tab

And it enters $16650, not sure why it is adding 0's in for me

This should be a $1665 and $5341.67

And here in a Transfer funds it should be $500 not $5000

I just tried it out to see if I get the same result but in my case at least it seemed to retain the exact value I enter in.

I've added a couple of screen recordings below just as examples so you can see the process I'm going through which is hopefully the same as yours, (click on them for a larger view).

Is this a new occurrence that you've noticed? ie. was it working properly previously?

If you logout of the book and then go back in does the same thing continue happening?

Does the same thing happen in a different browser?

Hi Barb,

This is an easy one to fix once you know ( :-) ), because that zero is actually in the field. Therefore, you have to overtype or delete it to get the two-digit cents into the field. If you don't, it stays there and allows only one digit of cents. You may have noticed that an amount of 265.1 would be accepted, but 265.11 won't.

In the Invoice screen, you have to confirm the recording of the payment by clicking the blue button "Record Payment" above the line of entry fields for the details, before selecting "New".

Thanks for that.

I was using Chrome, so signed out and signed in with Edge and it seems to be working how you indicate it should.

Can it be a Chrome glitch, how odd, as with Hosted I needed to use Chrome all the time to be able to copy and paste ID's into the transactions, looks like I might have to use Edge with Reckon One.

I will keep going with this and see how it goes.

Sorry could not see how to select you John and reply, yes I know you are right, but that seems odd to have to delete a digit every time you want to type something apart from a zero.

That is not how it is happening in Edge so far, fingers crossed

My little Firefox experiment was a success, but the behaviour was the same as in Brave.

I had to overtype the zero.
