Why is my Employee Organiser screen blank? I have already searched up possible answers to this question, and have tried the following: * Made sure the screen was set to 100% scale * Run Reckon v34 as Administrator * Verify & Rebuild (about 15 times) * Opened a v34 sample book Employee Organiser (also a blank screen) * Opened a sample book Employee Organiser in an old version of Reckon (still blank) * Uninstalled old versions of Reckon * Provided a QBWin Log file to Reckon Support (no response yet) * Logged into Windows as the QB Administrator, then opened Reckon as Administrator (still blank – in Sample and actual Company File) I am pretty much at a loss here. I cannot enter employee Raises using the guided process, which is not ideal. I would rather not have to uninstall and reinstall my entire Reckon because everything else works just fine.

on my computer it says that it can’t find Internet Explorer and that is why it can’t be displayed. This is because Windows no longer supports Internet Explorer, and Reckon is tied to some old coding I believe, that makes it difficult to fix. The same thing happens when I do a preview of an ABA file. You might just have to find another report.

Don’t waste time uninstalling, can’t you just enter the new rates in the employees names? I must admit I have never used that window

This is a known random bug with the desktop interface, but only affects some files. It's typically caused by a hidden background window trapping the program's focus or a Window display/browser conflict.

Sometimes, it is actually open in the background, locking the foreground screen.

To check ….

Close & re-open the company file
Ensure no other windows are open & try generating the Employee Organiser
If the blank screen appears, press & hold Alt + Page Up (NOT the up arrow key) to force the hidden window into the foreground
If that doesn't work, try Alt + Page Down

It can also be the result of an anti-virus or security update(s) sandboxing the executable file. A few other possible solutions (that work for some people, but not all) are:

Temporarily try reducing your Windows screen resolution down (eg to 1920 x 1080) to see if this allows the window to become visible
Try restarting your PC in Selective Startup. This temporarily disables background programs which may allow the module to load correctly.

Failing all of that, I use the employee Notes to record increases etc, with the Date Stamp :

(💡 TIP: If you list them in reverse chronological order (eg by adding new Notes at the top each time), you will always be able to see the most current info :

When was the last time (if ever) on the older versions of the Reckon Accounts application that you were able to successfully see the Employee Organiser screen? (what version was it)

What is your screen resolution set to when yo have scaling at 100%?

Since the issue affects the sample file and also your own QBW file, then it is unlikely to be a data file related issue and more of a software installation issue.

the Verify and Rebuild Data will not resolve the issue no matter how many times it is actioned
whilst unlikely, the QBWIN.LOG may possibly provide clues

Last successful time opening Employee Organiser was on Reckon 2024 in March 2025. I have never opened it on Reckon v34.
