Reckon Accounts Upgrade Query

Question

I've had an email telling me that my Reckon Accounts Plus subscription will not be renewed - resulting in having to 'upgrade' to Reckon One which is cloud based rather than desktop based. I would like to have some other options available to choose from including desk top based options. Could you run through the options available please. I only use the software for invoicing, payments and reports. Thank you.

Thank you Anne, pleased to hear I am not alone with this problem. I gather you have not received the email from Reckon yet, my renewal date is August/September so I have a few weeks to check other avenues. I do not understand why Reckon are doing this, surely happy customers paying the yearly fee is better than grumpy customers searching around for alternative solutions. I am hoping they will get back to me with a suitable option although I did email them 2 weeks ago but have heard nothing back yet, which is why I have tried this forum in the hope that someone will have a good solution.

As another small business (dentist surgery), we have also used Desktop for a long-time, carrying over from Quickbooks and a separate Payroll system.

We use Payroll & manually enter dental and supplier invoices to match off from the bank download.

We do not want to go to 'cloud' and will be extremely disappointed if Reckon enforces this.

We will find another solution.

Thank you Rav, I did phone the 0800 number but was only given the one option of Enterprise at $1300 per year, plus my set up costs to transfer existing data etc.

I thought there must be an easier and less expensive option for a small business like ours who has been with Reckon for a long time - in fact we were with the old Quickbooks before Reckon took them over.

I am loathe to lose our 20 plus year history, but if need be that might be the only option.
