Required fund ABN not specified when fund ESA was specified

We are having trouble uploading our SAFF file into the Care super clearing house.  We have an error as follows;

'Required fund ABN not specified when fund ESA was specified'

interestingly this only relates to employees who have SMSF.  It appears like all details are correct on the Reckon file.  Is there something I might be missing?

Step 1: Open the SMSF Supplier Record

* Go to Suppliers in Reckon.
* Open the supplier record for the SMSF (super fund).

Step 2: Enter the ABN in the Tax Reg. ID Field

* Select the Additional Info tab.
* Locate the Tax Reg. ID field.
* Enter the SMSF's ABN in this field.
* Ensure the ABN is entered as numbers only, with no spaces.

Step 3: Verify the Super Fund Setup

Please confirm that:

* The fund is set up as SMSF rather than APRA.
* A valid Electronic Service Address (ESA) has been entered.
* The employee's Member Number has been entered.
* The SMSF supplier is linked to the employee's super payroll item.

Step 4: Re-export and Upload

* Generate a new SAFF file.
* Upload the file to your clearing house again.

If the error continues after completing the steps above, verify that the SMSF has been added and recognised within your clearing house and that both the ABN and ESA are valid

While it refers to Quick Super in that post, the main takeaway is how the SMSF ABN is being captured and mapped in the file, so that’s a good place to start.
