Reckon Hosted & Reckon One - Importing a QIF file

I have tried everything to import the bank QIF file. I tried using the Reckon Hosted Chart of Accounts and right click on the bank account (as one other user has used); it seemed to go through the process but there were no transactions at all imported.

Reckon One - it imported easily but it has now disappeared. I can't seem to understand Reckon One at all.

Have no idea what to do next.

If you are using Reckon One, setup a bank feed, you can have 2 at no cost, works great!

I will have a look at that, thanks.

But I would prefer to use the QIF file in certain instances if it can work successfully.

I don't believe it will work with R1.. I have used qif files with desktop for many years..the bank feed for R1 is far superior..

While we'd recommend using an Open Banking feed where possible to automatically bring in your bank transaction data, if you'd rather upload manually you can certainly do so using QIF or CSV file.

Click on Bank Transactions in the navigation menu on the left then you'll see a manual upload button on the bank transactions screen.

Click this and follow the prompts to upload your QIF file.

Could you please clarify what you mean by "it imported easily in Reckon One but disappeared"? After uploading the QIF, transactions should appear under the Manual upload located under the Upload source.

I have imported all the statements for last year. Created rules the various transactions but I think I should have only imported one statement as maybe when I imported the rest they would have recognised the rules.

Not sure if this is how it works?

Hi Glenda,

If you have bank statement already imported in Reckon One, a new upload will overwrite any bank transactions that have yet to be allocated. So, make sure to upload one statement at a time. More information about manual upload here:
