Leave Balances in the the new pay editing screen
Hey everyone, Happy #TipTuesday!
This week, let's take a look at one of the additions that the new Reckon One Payroll experience brings that's going to make checking leave balances a lot easier for your payroll processing.
We've heard feedback from users that having payroll information visible in one place makes processing pays much easier. With the new Payroll experience, leave balances are now displayed directly within the employee pay editing screen, so you can quickly review leave balances without navigating through additional menus or opening separate cards like before.
What information can you see?
When you open an employee within a pay run and scroll down to the bottom there will be a Leave Balance section, you'll be able to see:
- The leave items assigned to the employee
- Opening leave balances
- Leave accrued in the current pay run
- Leave taken in the current pay run
- The employee's current leave balance
Note: There is also an option to not accrue time, that you can tick in the this section. When selected the leave will not be accrued in this pay run and the 'Accumulated this pay' values will be set to zero.
Why is it useful?
Having leave balances available directly in the pay runs gives you more efficiency that means you can:
- Quickly review employee leave balances whilst processing payroll
- Confirm that the employees leave is calculating correctly
- See any leave taken in the current pay run
- Spend less time jumping between screens and reducing clicks
It may seem like a small change, but it's definitely one that will save you time in the long run and make processing Payroll more fluid.
We hope that you enjoy the new Payroll experience and let us know what you think below.
