Our latest Reckon One update introduces a seamless new workflow to add Colonial First State as your default fund along with a bunch of other improvements and fixes. Check out the inclusions below.
✨ Seamless signup to Colonial First State as your default fund
Under Australian superannuation laws, you must nominate a default super fund to use for employees who don’t nominate a fund or have a ‘stapled’ fund. If you don’t set one, you may be in breach of your super guarantee obligations.
Employer signup to Colonial First State as your employer default super fund
Reckon One payroll users now have the ability to seamlessly sign-up to, and set, Colonial First State as your default super fund! Best of all, registration is handled seamlessly with no paperwork or manual work required!
You can make one of your created super funds a default superannuation fund, or you can now sign up with Reckon One's integrated option; Colonial First State and set it as your default.
To do so, simply head to Settings ➡️ Super Funds ➡️ Set your Default Fund ➡️ select the signup with an integrated super provider option which will will list Colonial First State. Your registration is all handled in a simple, streamlined process.
Signing up employees to your CFS default fund
If you've set CFS as your default fund, you can now signup a new employee as a CFS member when adding them to your Reckon One payroll book too!
You'll see an option to sign up an employee to your CFS default fund with a simple, integrated workflow. Reckon One will fill in the sign-up form using the information in the employee profile and will flag any info that requires review before submitting.
Once submitted, you'll see a status appear in the employee's super tab to let you know whether the registration is Pending, Accepted or Rejected with a reason. Accepted registrations get the member number added automatically.
When will this option appear?
The option is available to employers on the CFS Standard plan who have CFS set as their default super fund. You could be on the Standard plan in either of these cases:
- You signed up to CFS as your default fund through Reckon One as these are on the standard plan automatically.
- You're an existing CFS employer and Reckon One recognises your registration.
Reckon One checks the plan type automatically, so you don't need to do anything and the CFS sign-up option only appears when an eligible employer adds a new employee.
Onboarding employees via Reckon Mate
If you've signed up to Colonial First State as your default super fund, your employees can now join your CFS default fund while setting up their profile in the Reckon Mate app!
Just like the options above, the employee's signup to CFS is all handled seamlessly, with no paperwork required and no double entry of data needed. Check out our demo on the process with Reckon Mate for your employees below.
✨ Faster and easier address input with Google Autocomplete for employees
Its now much easier to add addresses to employee profiles with the inclusion of Google Autocomplete in your employee profiles! Simply start typing an address and you'll be presented a list of relevant addresses that you can select from!
✨ Improvements to 'Copy pay items from last pay run' option
We've made some enhancements to the Copy Pay Items from Last Pay Run option. Specifically, when using this option to create new pay runs, it will now use and reflect the employee's current pay setup particularly when it comes to super fund and/or super item changes.
✨ Negative entries for fixed basis items in a pay run
Pay runs now accept negative entries for fixed-basis items allowing you to correct a mistake by adding a negative line.
