My client is encountering intermittent but increasingly common problems with her PC which seem to be related to emailingfrom within Reckon using Outlook 2016.  common entries in the Event log are:

Microsoft-Windows-RestartManager,10006,None,Application or service 'Reckon Accounts' could not be shut down..

and

Application Error,1000,(100),"Faulting application name: qbw32.exe, version: 25.0.4001.1270, time stamp: 0x56d7e75b
Faulting module name: QBWRPT32.dll, version: 25.0.4001.1270, time stamp: 0x56d7e903
Exception code: 0xc000041d
Fault offset: 0x00019dbe
Faulting process id: 0x2a84 Faulting application start time: 0x01d27e690d4b1073 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\Reckon Accounts 2016\qbw32.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\Reckon Accounts 2016\QBWRPT32.dll
Outlook hangs and and on occasions restarting the PC Outlook needs to be repaired. I have tried looking at this from the Outlook end but MS basically are blaming interaction from other apps, hence this question. I would like to identify & eliminate what cause the quoted error report.

OS is Windows 10

What operating system are you running? Which version of Reckon accounts? Does this happen in the sample file? Are you using POP servers or Imap servers?

Not sure on what version of Reckon, but it is current as the PC was rebuilt late last year. I'll check .
As it is intermittent ( roughly once a week it is difficult to test with the sample file, however there are several PCs using the same data on a peer to peer Windows network ( one PC works purely as the "server") and the other do not have the same issue.
    Outlook is POP.
    Thanks for your help.

Hmmmm. When was the last time you defragged the file? Make portable copy and restore it to the same location.
