Hi Brian,
Sorry but can you give me a bit more info on this.
A Personal Plus back up can only be performed as either a .rkn or .QDF format.
Can you step me through the process of how you're performing the back up.
Is the file name you are using more than 8 characters? If so, can you please shorten it.0 -
Hi Ray,
When I back up (File.Backup Function) the file shows on my external hard disc (in a folder headed Reckon Back Up) as, for example "(Avast Secure Browser Icon) Brian_20191024.rkn". However if it is sent to a folder headed "Quicken" then it is sometimes stored in both the above format plus also in a QDF format.
How do I restore from the backup files with the Avast Browser icon?
Hope this is enough info for you but ,if not, please let me know.
Cheers, Brian
PS: Alternatively how do I get Reckon to back up in a QDF format each time?0 -
Hi Brian,
Untick the checkbox "Backup data to compressed archive (.rkn) file"
The reason you are getting the 'Avast Browser Icon' is that somehow on your computer the file type ".RKN" has been associated with the Avast Browser.
