I have issues with part-time staff personal leave accruals.
Calculated from the beginning of the year to the current date an employee has worked 136 hours.
These are my calculations;
136 x 0.03846 = 5.2305 (Reckon coverts to 5:14 h:m) hours available as of 12/4/20
Hours accrued per hour paid = 0.03846 (Reckon converts to 0:02:18)

Is this correct?

This is causing me so much stress as I don't really know what I am doing as I am new to Reckon and payroll.
I only work one day a week so there isn't much time to get to know Reckon. I have spent so much of my own time trying to get this right and feel I am going around in circles :(
Luckily I have only 4 P/T staff to correct.

Any help to get this corrected would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Caz

You just need to change the Time Format option to “Decimal” in Preferences as it’s currently set to display in “Minutes” J

    Here’s how to do it:

    • Click on Edit along the top toolbar, then on Preferences in the dropdown menu
    • Click on General from the LHS section list
    • On the Company Preferences tab, change the selection to Decimal
    • Click on OK to save this change

Check that now each relevant employee’s hourly leave accrual is now correct:

    • 0.07692 for Holiday (Annual) Leave (Reckon will round this to 0.07694 – this is fine)
              &
    • 0.03846 for Personal (Sick) Leave (Again, Reckon will round this to 0.03833 – also fine)

Hi Novice. It's not all that complicated. If your employees are using the NES or national employment standards, the leave calcs are 7.6923% for Annual Leave and half that for personal leave. The number of hours they work makes no difference at all. Using the percentages is a lot easier than claculating minutes because you can set it once and forget it.
