This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Reckon Hosted :Payment Summary Gross amount includes salary sacrificed amounts in.... Using Reckon Accounts Hosted. A Payment Summary Gross amount includes salary sacrificed amounts in total. Is there an easy fix it for last year? I have now set it up correctly, so it will not happen again, but I need to amend last years Payment Summary for one employee0

Hi there - if you check the payroll item for the salary sacrifice - and work through the various settings - one of them is called Tax Tracking Type - I suspect this is set to None - if you change it to Gross Payments - then the Payment summary should display the correct totals.

Thank you Linda, this has solved my problem.

Hi, I have set up salary sacrifice for an employee as per the Reckon video on you tube. My tax and net pay have reduced, and the amount sacrificed appears on payment summary under RESC. My gross pay amount has not changed. Is this correct?0

Hello Alan,
Following the instructions of the video you should get Gross Payments reducing on the Payment Summary.
Please check the setup of your Super Salary Sacrifice item again.
In your Employee Record, delete and re-input the Super Salary Sacrifice item
Try again.
Hope you get a better result.
regards,

Hello John,
If I drill down on weekly payments the gross has reduced correctly by the amount salary sacrificed but this doesn't reflect on the weekly payslip. Should his gross amount have changed on his payslip?

A couple of staff members Salary sacrifice. This amount hasn't reduced their gross or has been included on their payment summaries. Do I have it set up incorrectly in Reckon??

Here is a You Tube video:
About 50 seconds through is where you need to look to make the item attached to Gross Payments. Please be mindful this video is 5 years old and rules have changed in regards to superannuation. a) superannuation is now 10% and b) the rules changed that employers can no longer reduce the super guarantee amount by the salary sacrificed amount. Please also see this help note to make sure you do not reduce the compulsory 10% super: https://help.reckon.com/article/d3c1u2qp5a-kba-5763-how-to-stop-reducing-sg-from-salary-sacrifice-new-law-effective-from-1-jan-2020-in-reckon-accounts
