URGENT: Upgrade Needed Before April 2022

in Reckon Accounts (Desktop)

We are currently using Reckon Accounts Premier Edition 2017 but have been advised that we will be unable to use it after April 2022. We need a program where we can do invoices, journals, post bank statements, etc. Which program would we need to upgrade to? And is there a program with a once off fee instead of an annual subscription?

    No once off fee any more as far as I know, you need to check the Reckon site and compare the current versions

    We need to upgrade from 2017. is it very difficult? I have been reading upgrade information, but still not confident. Do I have to uninstall old program before adding new one or can I just select upgrade?

    No, no uninstallation necessary - You can just upgrade your existing file ☺️

    Thankyou very much. I need to upgrade the 2017 Accounts Premier first according to instructions, but just wondering which version as it says payroll premier. Do you know if this is a new name for it?

    @Cass Munro Just to elaborate further on Kris's advice ... Reckon Accounts is the name of the product you're using & "Premier" is the version.

    Payroll Premier is another, completely separate, stand-alone Payroll program. It has advanced payroll-related features eg Award rates incorporated etc but it is NOT an accounting program so has none of the other accounting features in Reckon Accounts.

    If you are using the Desktop version I think you should uninstall the old version before installing the new one, making sure you have a backup first
