STP submission dates

Can you please tell me when submitting STP (we do this weekly) what dictates the date? Is it when it is submitted, or when the file was created?

Due to change of ABN issues, I was able to submit w/e 8/7/22 but I still need to submit w/e 1/7/22. Will this cause an issue if I submit 1/7 today? We have another pay run today too for w/e 15/7.

    Hi @54668

    Single Touch Payroll submissions are reported on a Year to Date basis only so if you've already submitted your 8/7 submission successfully then your balances are already updated.

    @54668 I always name the STP submission as the payment date for easy identification (& name the EOFY one as “EOFY 202x”) ☺️

    Thank you Shaz - I will do that in future. I have learnt so much from this shambles as we changed our ABN.

    So going by what Rav said, I got an error on the 8/7 submission in STP but have successfully submitted 15/7 today. That would mean all is ok, being YTD figures?

    Yes, as Rav mentioned, every time you upload a new STP, it updates YTD balances (rather than the specific pay figures) so if your latest submission was successful, it will be correct ☺️
