How to merge two payroll item

    I haven’t tried to do this before, have you tried renaming one of them to the same spelling as the other? Not sure if it will work, but it’s the first thing I would try

    Yes I tried renaming but it would not allow me. I have made one inactive at present

    Hi @Kathyd

    What sort of pay item are you looking to merge together? eg. earning, super, allowance etc?

    The suggestion from @Kris_Williams above should work for earning items and allowances. However, from what I understand, super items cannot be merged together and I haven't tested deductions myself.

    I’m not surprised you couldn’t merge them, yes that’s the best way, make inactive

    Yes, some Payroll Items (of the same type) can be merged but not Super ones 🤨
