Payroll Premier I need to delete a STP submitted to the ATO

Hi

I submitted a file which was been marked as successful but had to make a pay adjustment. However, when I uploaded the new file I failed to select Full Replacement file, assuming it would override the first one.

I have since set a replacement file, but still need to delete one.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Natalie

You can’t delete, the file replacement figures will do that, replace figures. If you look at the details of that replacement file it will show you the totals for each employee, which should agree with the totals on the payroll report for the year to date

    Hi Natalie

You can only delete a submission whilst it's in Draft stage. Once you Submit it, it's unable to be removed (this isn't Reckon's doing, it's the ATO's requirement) However, STP doesn't report each file's specific figures, it just updates YTD balances each submission. Therefore, your 2nd FFR submission would have still been the same figures as the 1st so will not have changed anything 😊

Ok thanks. It was just the the auto-fill when lodging the PAYG picked up the figure as though there that file was included in the total so I wondered what else might be impacted.

I just over-rode that figure anyhow.

@Nat Welsh The above relates to Reckon's GovConnect portal where you upload your STP submissions.

The ATO are just starting to rollout prefilling from STP into monthly/quarterly Activity Statements, however it's still very early days so this is not always going to be accurate. Therefore, both the ATO & Reckon are advising to go by your payroll data & amend this prefill amount if necessary (as you've done 😊)
