I would do a search for *.qbw and see what files are on your computer, make a note of the names, dates and location. You can also look for backup files *.qbb.

I would then copy these files to another location as a backup and then you can try opening them. Hope you can find what you are looking for.

You are using Home and Business and you should be able to see the last files that you opened under the file dropdown.

There are only 4 files showing under file dropdown and none of them is the last one I was working on before it disappeared

Do I look for *.qbb files in the find reckon accounts file?

Do you have any current backups? Look for *.rkn

Try the largest as that is usually the latest

It is hard to tell which one is the largest.

at any rate they are the same files as when I get found just using the find the reckon accounts file function, and they are each the same to each other

also I’ve tested all of them and none is the latest

as a aside I seem to have found a *.rkn file which somewhere else which is larger than all of these.

but when I click on it it doesn’t bring the account but a message instead

last can I call you at the number that appears in your message?

Sorry @Jose Bracamonte_10759220 i didn’t realise your files are a different format to Reckon hosted, Gerry is the expert. He will be the one to help but I think the Rkn file might be a backup

    thanks

i think I’ve found one. (It doesn’t have the little red mark) when I press on it it sends me to a file identifier

You should wait and ask Gerry how do restore the backup. He lists his phone number so probably wouldn’t mind if you texted him
