Merchant account service message window keeps popping up when entering card payments

Hi team, we use Reckon Accounts Plus 2022 and every time we create 2 credit card payments under ENTER SALES RECEIPT, a message window (Merchant Account Service Message) pops up with a Hint (about processing card payments directly). The pop up window has a button to click to not show this message in the future, but it keeps popping up, no matter whether the button is clicked or not. It's just really annoying. How can we make this message stop appearing? Thanks for your help!

It sounds to me like itβs something corrupt in the background (technical) coding which may only be able to be rectified by the data services team (Note: The technical side is not my forte so I donβt know much about that part)
Unfortunately, data services assistance is a paid service but I think thatβs going to be your only solution to properly resolve this issue, given youβve tried everything else π©

Hi @adventure
Are you using Reckonβs paid 3rd party solution to actually process credit card payments ?

Hi Shaz, no, we just enter the payments into Reckon (ENTER SALES RECEIPT). We do not process card payments through Reckon.
Thanks

Hi @adventure,
You could try adjusting the following preference setting, which will disable it. Please note that this setting could potentially deactivate other pop-ups, not just the specific one related to your Merchant Account Service message.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Reeta

Hi @adventure
I've just tested in the sample file & don't get this popup at all. It sounds like you might have inadvertently enabled a setting for Reckon's 3rd party CC gateway solution. Make sure the this checkbox here is NOT ticked:

Hi @Shaz,
The issue does not happen when entering RECEIVE PAYMENTS, it happens when entering sales under ENTER SALES RECEIPT. Thanks for your helps.

Hmm β¦ Iβm wondering if it might be a corruption π€
Are you Verifying your file regularly ?
Iβd suggest running the Rebuild Data x 3 (For some reason, THREE times fixes a lot of issues π¬)
(This option is under the File dropdown menu > Utilities)

You may have a more significant corruption - What are your thoughts @Rav ?
