Reckon Accounts 2024 will not open (error c =343)
Reckon Accounts 2024 will not open (error c =343) unless I stop virus checker (microsoft) Is there a fix for this problem ?

I switched off the real time and cloud based virus protection and was then able to open the program.

Has the 2024 version been successfully installed? ie. does this error message appear when you try and launch the software after install?
Does this error appear when trying to open your company file itself OR when first starting the software?

Yes, the software is installed but I get the error message when I try to open the program. I then cannot open the company file.

You will need to create an exception for Reckon Accounts' executable files.
We have a list of files that will need to be permitted through your antivirus/firewall here:
While this guide is inherently about networking errors, it also contains all information around executable files in Reckon Accounts Desktop.
If you're unsure about how to add exceptions into your antivirus/firewalls, it's best to consult either your IT Personnel, or the manufacturer of the antivirus.

Thanks, FYI in Windows security one also has to switch 'controlled folder access' to 'off ' for the application to access those files.
