Personal Plus 2013 Upgrade

Question

Hi. I will be replacing my old laptop and would like to transfer my Reckon PP 2013 files to the new machine.  I have 20 years of history and do not want to lose any data or information plus I would like to take the opportunity to upgrade my PP 2013 to a newer version at this time.  Can you please advise what are the options available to me and what is the best approach.

OK, all looks good for you to install RPP v31 and register it, as required via your Reckon Account.

Then, in v31, select File →Restore, Browse to where your latest .RKN backup file is located and select it. Ideally, you will have located this RKN file on your computer's hard disk, rather than USB or the Cloud, which, potentially, can be a problem.

Then you should be completed, and using your latest QDF.

Note: that, by default, RPP will create its working set of files in the same folder from which you 'restored' from your RKN file or 'opened' your selected QDF file.

Again, I'm writing these instructions off the top of my head, because I'm holidaying in @GerryWinter  part of Australia at present and without direct access to my own RPP system.

Not sure what is mentioned by John but there should be no reason why your file cant be used by the latest Reckon V31. You just need to Restore the RKN file and then Open it, I did see that your file name is getting too long and i cant see the location at you are restoring it to.
