Migrating QDF files to cloud based products

hi - I’ve been using Reckon Accounts Personal Plus for 15 or so years. I kept upgrading hoping for feature enhancements but the licence fee seemed a waste as each years version seemed identical and all the bugs remained. I currently therefore use 2018. I’ve been wanting to migrate to using a cloud based accounting platform for my personal, super fund, family trusts and a couple of small charities that I use Personal Plus for. Is there an easy way to migrate QDF files into a cloud based plastic form? If so, what is the best option? TIA

If you're looking at a cloud solution, I'd recommend taking a look at Reckon One, which is our full cloud accounting solution. Since Reckon One is cloud-based, it has the added flexibility of being able to access the service from anywhere with a browser and internet connection. It also receives regular automatic updates, ensuring you always have the latest features and enhancements.

There are a couple of important considerations however, there is no direct migration of your existing Personal Plus data to Reckon One available so its a platform that you'd need to start fresh on. Secondly, if you're using features that are unique to the Personal Range software, such as share price downloads, this is not available in Reckon One at this stage.

Conversely, Reckon One has a range of features that the Personal Range does not so if you'd like to have a chat about whether Reckon One may be a good fit for you, please give our Customer Service team a call on 1300 756 663.

thanks Rav for the reply. I have pretty basic needs and no share price downloads. Generally just recording income and expenses. Access to all the historical data is crictical, so if there is no way of migrating then I am stuck using the desktop software. But surely in this day and age there should be an easy way to import the data from a QDF file?

If you're looking for money in/money out on a cloud platform then yes Reckon One can more than cater to that.

Unfortunately however, there isn't a migration option between the two software so your existing data will not travel over to Reckon One. You could potentially look at saving or printing various reports from your current software so you have a record of historical data prior to making the move, if you were to. Granted, its not exactly ideal but unfortunately, thats the only suggestion I can offer.
