Discrepancy in Superannuation Reporting
Hi Rav,
While completing some end-of-month tasks this morning, I noticed a discrepancy between the reports—specifically relating to superannuation.
I’ve attached snippets of the three reports I use to reconcile wages. You’ll see that the superannuation total in the payroll summary doesn’t match the totals in the other two reports.
This is the first time I’ve come across this issue, and I’ve traced it to an employee who recently updated her super fund details (she moved from Future Super to Smart Future Trust). I’m assuming this change may be contributing to the inconsistency, but I’m unsure why it would affect the payroll summary report specifically.
Could you please look into this when you have a moment?

Hi @Kali ,
Could you please kindly verify whether an Initial YTD has been entered for super in the employee details? You can do this by editing the employee information and navigating to the Initial YTD section.
Thank you very much for your assistance.

Karren

Hi Karren,
No, no YTD figures were entered for this employee:

Thanks for confirming @Kali .
Based on the report, it appears that the second employee in the summary may have an incorrect super amount.
Have you tried reverting the pay run to draft and then re-adding the employee to see if it recalculates correctly?

Karren

Yes, that’s correct — it’s that employee who is in error. As mentioned in my original message, I updated her choice-of-fund details during the month, so I’m assuming this has something to do with it. Why it’s impacted the payroll summary, however, is unclear to me.

It's not picking up her June contributions:

OK, thank you.
