I have two different companies which l need to register STP2 for.

I have a company which l have been doing their STP2, logging into Reckon Portal with my email address and password.

This company has now sold to another company so l will be doing both for a while and need to register the new company for STP 2.

Do l log in as normal and add the new company to the portal? Or do l set up a new portal account using my email and another password?

Seems very confusing that's all and l would love some help. I can't even remember how l initially did this, sorry.

Hi @JulesBousattout

You're able to add an additional STP entity within your existing account by clicking the Add Product option in the top right corner then selecting Reckon GovConnect.

Moving forward, is someone else going to be taking over payroll and STP duties? If so, would they require access to the STP entity?

Not that l know of. I will wind the old company up eventually over the next year or so but there won't be any wages paid at all.

At this stage l will be looking after the new company for next year and beyond unless they decide they can do it themselves. Not 100% sure

Correct, click on Add Reckon GovConnect and follow the prompts to setup the new STP entity. You'll need the new ABN that you're registering along with its GST branch number if it has one.

Once you setup the new STP entity for the new ABN in GovConnect it will generate a new Software ID. Once you've got that, you can either call the ATO on 1300 852 232 and register that new Software ID over the phone or if you have access to the ATO Access Manager Portal you can do it online by following the steps here.

The Software ID must be registered with the ATO before they will accept any submissions from that new STP entity.

Setting up new desktop payroll for STP2 l assume l enter everything manually then click the STP set up button plus the update super rate feature in 2025 version?
