Just upgrading to V34 Reckon Accounts (desktop).

Installed Company File Server Only on on our server.

Installed Reckon Accounts Only on client PC's.

Restored the backup created in version 2024.

Opening Reckon Accounts on my pc, it opens in single user mode. When trying to switch to multi user I get error H202. Disabled the Firewalllall toegther - still same issue.

I've wasted so much time trying to get the multi user mode to open. Help please

    Hi @Cheryl Begg

Admittedly I'm not an expert in this area however can I just confirm, have you performed the steps outlined in this help guide? 👇

Hi Rav, thank you for jumping in here. I uninstalled the server version this morning and reinstalled the Company File with Reckon Accounts option as suggested in the link. Multi-user is still prodocing the same error. We are running Windows Server 2012 R12 which I've since found out Reckon no longer support. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi @Cheryl Begg,

What version of the software, were you previously using prior to upgrading to V34? I believe, that Reckon Accounts really hasn't had support for Windows Server 2012 R12 since 2022 from what I can find on our online guides.

We would recommend reaching out to your IT and potentially upgrading the server or use compatibility mode (experimental).

Sorry, there is not much more we can do to help you with this issue.

    Hi Lucas,

We were using 2024 Reckon Accounts Premier and have not encountered issues with the yearly updates till V34. Out IT team has already spent some time looking into it, including disbaling the firewall all together and following these articles. https://help.reckon.com/article/enblspc3sq-kba-3626-errors-h-101-h-202-h-303-h-505-61770-61230-6000-80-83-on-network-environment

We have been looking at alternate software, perhaps this is the hand that will force us to move away from Reckon altogether.

    Hi @Cheryl Begg,

It's good to see that you were proactive in getting your IT team involved and disabling all the firewalls. The only other recommendation I could make is that you ensure all Anti-virus is turned off that may have rules in place for the network settings. Please also double check the read/write permissions as well.

It's unfortunate, that none of the suggestions made are working for you. If you could let me know if any of the above works, It would be appreciated.
