Unable to copy & paste from external source into RAH

    I use Reckon Accounts Hosted. Have done so for as long as I can remember.

    One of the issues I have is that if I copy a value or description outside of Reckon, I am unable to paste it to the field directly in Reckon. I have to paste it to the clipboard and then copy to the field in question. This is so annoying!!!! I should be able to paste it directly to the field as per all other software packages I use. Is it a setting in the system?

    Since the last upgrade I find the software loses internet connection on a regular basis, (no it's not my internet connection as it happens at various work sites).

    I've moved your post into its own thread here as its a specific technical issue that we'd love to get a bit more info from you on to try and help.

    Which browser are you using when you notice this happening? Is there a specific application/software that you are copying FROM and then trying to paste into RAH or is it across all other external sources you're copying from?

    Are you copying and pasting using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V or some other method?

    @Anna Harvey Are you using Firefox browser ?

    Firefox can be problematic, so the recommended browser for Hosted is Google Chrome - That one allows you to cut/copy & paste directly 😊

    Hi Rav, I use copy and paste using the mouse buttons.

    If I copy an amount from a spreadsheet for example, I should be able to paste it directly to a field in RAH.

    Instead it makes me CTL V to the RAH clipboard and then copy it to the field. That is two steps. Very frustrating.

    I have tried both Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers and there is no difference.

    In that case, it sounds like it's your browser settings then as I can definitely copy & paste direct from anywhere, including web pages, Word, Excel, emails, PDFs etc 😊

    Make sure you have clicked on the icon - to the left of the address bar - to enable Popups & the Clipboard. (This process became necessary following the most recent platform update) :

    If it's still not working, something is still selected as Block in your other browser settings. Click on Site Settings icon in the popup menu above & check down the list. (I only have Intrusive Ads & Insecure Content set as Block. Everything else is Allow or Ask)

    I agree with Shaz, I copy and paste in chrome and edge without any problems so it doesn't sound like a problem with hosted. Maybe it's your browser or PC settings, do you have a browser extension or add-on running or maybe antivirus?
