I am a longtime user of Reckon since 90’s and my wish is for a way to turn off cheque numbers permanently, instead of having to click the box in every cheque

Is there any chance that Reckon Hosted will allow two company files to be opened at the same time? I have two separate companies that I work on throughout the day and it is very time consuming to close one and open the other each time.

I have done this by downloading to PC and opening in Reckon Enterprise, you are entitled to a copy with your Hosted subscription, but then you would have to backup and upload to Hosted when finished

Thanks @Kris_Williams, but that just sounds way too complicated and quite dangerous to have to backup and upload each time. I know it's probably not, but I am fairly sure my boss will be dead against that idea.

    Hi all,

Thank you for all of your questions regarding the roadmap and future of our Personal Range software. It’s certainly been a hot topic of this first AMA session! It’s clear, and we are well aware, this software continues to play a valuable role in helping many of you manage your personal finances and investments - and we truly appreciate your long-standing support.

In working with @Rav (our amazing Community Manager) we have decided to try and answer the many questions on this topic once and then link back to this answer where possible.

The Reckon Personal Range has been a trusted tool for over two decades. We have invested a great deal into the product over that time. Today, it remains feature-rich, compliant, and stable. However, it is built on legacy technology and that legacy technology limits our ability to introduce new features or enhancements, and certainly limits our ability to take our Personal Range to the cloud or upgrade the user experience. Today, any change to this code base comes with risk of breaking other areas and requires a great deal of QA (quality assurance).

As such, we consider it a mature feature-rich product, and while we'll continue to support it with updates for Windows compatibility, security, and compliance, we won't be adding new features, taking it to the cloud, or updating the user experience further.

Looking ahead, our focus is on Reckon One - our cloud-based platform designed for the future. We are investing heavily into Reckon One and constantly adding new features and functionality. It offers a modern interface, ongoing regular updates and new features, and the flexibility of being accessible from any device, anywhere.

While Reckon One doesn't currently support all Personal Range features (namely share downloads or investment tracking), it is a great fit for those looking for a more contemporary solution for managing personal finances.

If you're not using the investment features in the Personal Range, Reckon One could be a great option for you! We'd love to help you explore whether it's the right fit - feel free to give our Customer Service team a call on 1300 756 663 and our friendly team will be happy to chat about it further with you.

We know how important this software is to many of you, and we don't take this position lightly. However, we believe in being transparent about the direction we're heading so you can make informed decisions about the tools you use.

Thank you once again for the many questions around our Personal Range and for your ongoing support and loyalty.

Thanks for raising these questions, they’re great ones and I’ll try my best to help.

In Reckon Accounts, the character limits are:

    • Cheque Number: up to 25 characters
    • Bill Reference Number: up to 20 characters

I cant say for certain whether its possible to increase this due to the older code-base, but it would require significant changes in a number of areas such as database, UI as well as thorough testing and quality assurance across reports, screens, and other areas to ensure stability. If this is important to you then I would love if you could add a feature request for this in our Reckon Accounts Hosted Ideas space.

With that said, our cloud solution Reckon One already supports longer reference numbers (up to 50 characters) which may be a suitable option if you’re frequently dealing with extended invoice formats.

When it comes to logouts, Reckon Accounts Hosted sessions are designed with timeouts for security purposes, but if you’re finding it’s occurring even when you’re actively working in your file, please reach out to our support team so they can investigate your specific environment and help troubleshoot.

On the topic of backups, the time taken for backups can vary depending on a few factors such as the size of your company file, its condition, and whether regular data maintenance is performed. The team have put together a really good guide with tips on how to improve performance, which I’ll link here. I’d also recommend touching base with our technical support team who can provide more tailored assistance.

For attaching documents, I’d recommend exploring the Links feature in Reckon Accounts Hosted, which lets you link supporting files such as supplier invoices directly to your bill transactions. You can find more details on how to use this feature here.

    Hi Ray,

Thanks for sharing your feedback and for being a long-term user of Reckon Personal Plus.

While BPay isn’t included by default, I believe you can add it yourself to your list of Num options. To do this, simply:

    • Click into the Num field.
    • Select Edit List.
    • Choose New and enter BPay as the new item.

This will then appear as an available option whenever you’re recording transactions.

Appreciate you bringing this up, and I hope this helps streamline things for you.

Thanks for this suggestion, the challenge here is that the data source we use for online share price downloads only provides a limited amount of historical data, which is why you’re currently seeing just the most recent few days. Unfortunately, we don’t control the depth of historical data available from that source.

With that said, we’ll continue to keep an eye on any alternative options, but at present we’re constrained by the limitations of the data feed.

    Hi Sam,

Thanks for your feedback on Personal Plus.

I understand the challenges you mentioned regards this legacy technology however you had nothing to offer the many loyal long term users. I suspect I am like many others who have used the product since the early 1990s, purchasing and upgrading, while pursuing careers and building investment wealth but have now retired.

We don't need a cloud based, mobile product or even an updated UI. We simply want to continue to use the product stand-alone on laptop/PC to manage our budgets and investment portfolios. Reckon One does not suit our needs at all.

So having confirmed that the product will no longer be developed, you can show us that you have truly listened to all our feedback and do something about the annual cost. Its risen quickly from $150 to $220 per year, way above the inflation rate. The more cynical of us might say that this is opportunistic milking of a locked-in loyal fan base.

    Hi Sam,

I am pleased to see your comment about investing heavily in Reckon One. I note the work on payroll and on invoicing (although we are all volunteer org and so don't use payroll and also use Receive Money on a POS basis, rarely Invoices to date). In a previous Comment I mentioned a couple of specific items, however I would like to add a more general comment.

We switched from Reckon Accounts (desktop then hosted) due to huge savings in cost and only using a few transaction types - also could not afford more than one user previously. So Reckon One provides a simpler package for us and enables us to be compliant with separate user log-ins. I do miss the flexible and more extensive reporting but export to Excel enables enough to get by.

As I am sure you and your team are aware, Reckon One has a number of quirks (bugs or issues depending on perspective). I have reported several in the past - should I make more effort to keep reporting these as there is now more likelihood they will get addressed as work is done across all Reckon One?

    Hi Sam,

I moved to Reckon One four years ago and have been pretty happy. I think there are many seemingly small improvements that could be made, many of which have been asked about or suggested in the forums for many years. My list includes the following …

Payments, when editing a line item, eg Account, don’t clear the Description.

Transaction rules should allow blank a description, if description is blank, then keep the bank transaction description. This would allow the transaction rule to set the contact but keep the description from the bank transaction.

When allocating a bank transaction to an invoice, the default amount should be the bank transaction amount rather than the invoice amount (for the case of part payment).

Allow changing a transaction account without unlinking the paid invoice.

Remember the last report options selected (such as Variance $ vs Variance %, the current budget, codes, net position summary). For the comparison budget, list the most recent first, rather than the oldest.

    Improve zooming in on transactions

    • Profit & Loss “headers only” value should zoom in to all sub-accounts.
    • On the BAS report, allow zooming in on the amount.

Classifications reporting, without this classifications do not seem useful.

Payment list report, make the Description field wider; even if Reconciled, Reference and Bank account are disabled, the Description still wraps more than needed. Landscape orientation makes no difference.

Account enquiry report – show the line item description (the current Details field show the Payment Details, and hence the same for each line item).

Saving a report as XLSX, in the spreadsheet, numbers should be numeric fields not text.

For printing pdf reports, allow adding margins and changing font size .

Be able to copy or backup and restore a book when experimenting with changes.

And with the 2024 colours changes, the theme colours for different books has been lost making it less-easy to see which book is open (one wonders why there is a need to change things that don’t need changing!).

    Thanks.

Thank you dreckowl - you've raised one I forgot: "Saving a report as XLSX, in the spreadsheet, numbers should be numeric fields not text."

I often have to save reports in Reckon One as an xlsx to work with them to ascertain subtotals and components, or to fill in descriptions for our accountant or bookkeeper, and they way they are generated is for appearance not usability.

The xlsx reports are generated with merged cells that prevent sorting, blank lines between entries, and the numbers are all text.

Each time I generate an xlsx report I must spend some time reformatting it before I can work with it. The steps I do are: (1) Select whole spreadsheet, click unmerge cells - this messes up shrink to fit and text wrapping so headings disappear and/or become tiny (2) reformat all the places that are thrown out by previous step, ie unselect shrink to fit, turn on/off text wrapping (3) select whole sheet and adjust to upper left justified (4) go through and change all numbers from text to number format; you can select groups at a time to do this, but still takes a while. Only then can I work with the spreadsheet to do what I need to.

If a user is generating a report to xlsx, then most times it will be so they can reassemble the contents in some way to extract the info they want, ie for our vehicle expenses account, I download the report and sort the transactions to get subtotals for each vehicle. It would be much better if xlsx reports could be generated in a way that does not require extensive reformatting before the user can work with them.

We've just signed up with Reckon One a few months ago and are loving it so far. I have to say it's nice to see a CEO being so open and transparent, I like this initiative.

I'd like to hear more about your progression as the CEO of Reckon and what is the biggest hurdle you have in competing with the other big providers

    Hello Sam,

As devoted long-term user of the Quicken/Reckon Personal Plus application, I am quite disappointed in your outline of the road ahead for our Personal Plus application. As an application aimed at "Personal" finances, shares and superannuation is a major part of the needed functionality, therefore Reckon One is of no use to the vast majority of Personal Plus users.

Further to your description on the very limited upgrades that may occur, the ever-escalating annual subscription fee as outlined by GM46 is quite valid, and clearly unjustified. I see this increasing subscription as an attempt to push the "legacy" clients out of Recon altogether simply because, Recon One is not a suitable substitute.

    Regards

    Kevin

    Hello Sam

First, I want to say how much I appreciate this opportunity to connect direct with you - and to me, it typifies the great culture that clearly exists at Reckon where the customer is treated as a valued consumer, and the staff really want to help and that culture has to come from the top.

I am an accountant. I used Reckon Elite from 2006 - and continue to use Elite although it is now owned by Access. The programme was good and the support was always good with Reckon.

I had a number of clients who had been on Banklink for many years, and when Banklink indicated it was coming to end of life, I had started moving clients to Sage Business Cloud Accounting. Unfortunately, that was ended unexpectedly and at very short notice.

I took the recommendation for changeover to Reckon One.

The most important thing I want to say on here - particularly to other Reckon users is - as an accountant I have clients using various different programmes - MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks, Pheonix, Cashbook Plus etc. No other programme/company provides the support that Reckon has done, and no other company has such a pro-active approach to the customer, where its clear they really do want to help.

I have some frustrations with Reckon One - some areas of reporting urgently need change as it makes it slow and causes loss of time, and considerable frustration. Some of the coding functions also - slow and awkward and time consuming, no search function which I notice other users mentioning above, and some other things - and I'm also having to deal with clients who were previously using Banklink or Sage Business Cloud Accounting who are finding some frustrations with Reckon One - however I just want to say to anyone that like me has some frustrations with the programme and is considering changing to another programme - bear with it - you won't get the level of support anywhere else, and I think the fact that Sam has set up this "Ask Me" is an indication that we can expect some improvement with some of the things that cause us frustration at times.

Sam, my main question is - can I send you through some information on some of the problems we have had - It would be too much to put on here. I realise some of them will need your tech team, but it would be quicker and easier for me to put them all together and send them to one person who can then determine priorities and allocate them appropriately. Also, if I do it this way, my employee will be able to do some of the work involved, as I am very busy myself at present. I did send some information concerning a reporting issue to Michelle Shoebridge very early on but haven't had any progress on that. Abbey Pollock has provided me with exceptional assistance and service and I thought if I could email through to Abbey and she could get it to you from there. I'd also like to give a shout out to Rajesh Maharjan who assisted me a couple of weeks ago when Abbey was out on site, and not only provided what I asked for - but in the usual Reckon pro-active manner, provided more than I asked for.

    Morning Sam

Will Reckon Accounts be introducing an easier way for a second party to log into the system. (eg. Accountant and office person). At the moment they must contact Admin for the Code to log in, this can cause some disruptions if the Admin person is not available.

Thank you for the opportunity to ask you a question.

We started using Quicken in the late 80’s early 90’s and made regular upgrades.

We use basic functions in Home and Business for both personal and minor business accounts to schedule and record transactions and reconcile. We do not use business, property and debt aspects of the software.

In November 2019 we took up a reduced price offer to “upgrade”.

We were not told at the time and subsequently found out that the “upgrade” was in fact an annual licence and that if we did not renew our licence annually we would not have access to our many years of data. This may turn out to be an issue if my affairs need to be managed by someone else.

Can we have access to our data without paying an annual licence? If not:

    • Can Home and Business be changed to provide the same access as Accounts Plus
    • Can a considerably less expensive annual licence be organised for “basic users”, or
    • Can we download and use the information to Excel, or
    • Can we pay a one-off fee to have access to the data

    Stephen

Hi @Ann_Marie, thanks for your question.

We did look at integrating a new employee self-onboarding process into Reckon Accounts Desktop and Reckon Accounts Hosted however due to the unique legacy code that they operate on, unfortunately it just wasn’t possible.

We’ve recently introduced a brand new employee onboarding process in Reckon One through the Reckon Mate app, which makes it really easy for new employees to get setup and provide their details directly & securely.

This new process allows employees to self-onboard which not only streamlines the process but also reduces manual data entry. It also gives them access to Reckon Mate which allows them to view leave balances, access payslips and update their personal information all on their mobile. I'll link to our recent release announcement here in case you're interested in reading more about it.

If employee onboarding is an important requirement for your business, I'd encourage you to check out Reckon One, which now includes this functionality as part of its modern cloud-based platform.

Thanks for raising this, it’s really useful feedback. You’re right that having to enter the same address multiple times can feel repetitive. The option to include multiple addresses in a customer profile actually came from user feedback and specific use cases where businesses needed more than one address on record, but I can see how that may feel unnecessary in other situations.

I also like your point about predictive address entry — that’s a smart feature and its something we're looking at rolling into Reckon One in the near future. I’d love if you could add this to our Reckon One Ideas space as well so we can track it and keep you updated as we make progress on this work.

Hi to you both and thanks for the feedback on this. I agree, cheques aren't as prolific as they once were.

I'm not sure how much I can add here but I know that you're able to create your own custom payment methods however unfortunately, getting them to filter through to an area such as Pay Bills is not possible at this time as its a limitation of the older codebase that Reckon Accounts currently operates on.

I can't say for certain we can make any changes in this area however I will ask that you add this to our Ideas space for Reckon Accounts here and I will ask our product team to review.

Thanks for raising this. As you’ve mentioned, it isn’t possible to have two company files open at the same time within the same session in Reckon Accounts Hosted.

The challenge here for us is the legacy technology of Reckon Accounts Hosted along with the platform it operates on so unfortunately its not something we’re able to do.

This is one of the reasons we’ve been working very hard at developing Reckon One which is built on and uses, the latest tech. If working across multiple companies throughout the day is important for your workflow, Reckon One may be worth considering as it supports the ability to open separate books in different browser tabs, making it easy to switch between them without needing to log out or close files.

Its great to hear you’re considering a move to the cloud from your existing Reckon Accounts Desktop software.

I'll be open with you in saying moving over to Reckon Accounts Hosted is largely the same functionality since its Reckon Accounts Enterprise running in a cloud environment. Its still a feature-packed software and a powerhouse for reporting and functionality however it won’t be a huge departure in terms of what you’re familiar with.

If you’re open to exploring Reckon One, our modern cloud-based solution, there are a number of advantages that go beyond simply moving your data to the cloud. Reckon One provides bank feed functionality via Open Banking which allows you to automatically import your transactions to make your reconciliations faster and easier. We’ve just rolled out a massive upgrade to our invoice experience in Reckon One which allows you to utilise features like custom fields, additional invoice customisation options, invoicing on-the-go with our Reckon Invoices mobile app and a lot more.

On top of that, Reckon One also has access to our next-gen payroll experience which allows you to easily manage your payruns, employees and Single Touch Payroll compliance. We’ve also just added a new employee self-onboarding feature in conjunction with the Reckon Mate app for employees.

If you’d like to have a chat about whether Reckon One might be a good fit for you, I’m more than happy to organise a call with a member of our team or give our Customer Service team a call on 1300 756 663.

Thanks so much for your message and for being such a long-standing Reckon Accredited Partner, I truly value our awesome partner network and the support you’ve given us over the years.

On your first point, I'm happy to share that we are indeed planning a partner conference in 2026! In the meantime, we're also working on a series of smaller regional events this year, which we're really excited about as another way to connect, share updates, and strengthen those networking opportunities. I'll ensure Andrew reaches out for a chat around this.

Regarding your second point on clients moving to Xero, we absolutely acknowledge this does happen, and it's always disappointing when it does. At the same time though, we're also winning new clients from Xero, MYOB, and QBO. That happens because Reckon offers a combination of great products, world-class service, and, in the case of Reckon One, some of the most affordable pricing in the market. We don't take a loss easily and we would welcome the opportunity to speak with any clients who are considering making a move.

Your feedback and ongoing support as a partner means a lot, and we’re committed to continuing to invest in our products and our partner community to ensure you’ve got the best possible tools and opportunities to support your clients.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful feedback and kind words – I really appreciate it, and I know @Rav will too! He does an incredible job supporting the Community and it’s fantastic to see that recognised.

Your suggestions are great ones. In fact, the topic of search in Reckon One has been actively discussed by the team just this week. We previously removed the earlier version of search within Reckon One as we received feedback that it wasn’t as intuitive or as helpful as it could be, so we’re currently evaluating the best way to bring it back in a way that really adds value.

On the topic of memorised/customisable reports, I completely agree this is a much-needed feature, especially for customers who’ve moved over from Reckon Accounts Desktop or Hosted. There’s an open feature request for this (which I can see you’ve already voted on - thank you for that!). We’ll be continuing to investigate how to best incorporate this into Reckon One, and I’d strongly encourage everyone to keep voting and sharing details of their use cases in the idea post.

That input really helps our product team prioritise and design the most impactful improvements. Thanks again for sharing your perspective – it’s great to have such engaged users in our Community!

It's great to hear that Reckon One is proving to be a good fit for your volunteer organisation, especially with the cost savings! I love hearing that.

Yes, absolutely please do continue to let us know!

With our focus on Reckon One we're actively working on improving features, functionality, usability to name a few right across the board. Feedback from our users plays a really important role in helping us identify areas that need attention and making sure we prioritise what matters most in real-world use.

In addition, if you have suggestions for new features, these are best raised in the Reckon One Ideas space on the Community. Don’t forget you can also vote on existing ideas from fellow users and this really helps us gauge what’s most important to the broader Reckon One community.

While I can't promise every item will be addressed immediately, all feedback is reviewed by our product team, and the more detail you can provide the better it helps us in testing and planning improvements.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful message! Your observation about the culture here at Reckon and the support you've received from the team really mean a lot to us. It’s a huge focus of mine and our Leadership Team and a key reason I am still at Reckon after 25+ years.

I'll be sure to pass on your shoutouts to Abbey and Rajesh as well, they’re awesome members of the team and I know they’ll be thrilled to hear your feedback! Even better I'll make sure they get to spin our prize wheel at our next company team meeting, it certainly sounds like they did a great job and deserve it!

I also really appreciate you sharing your perspective as an accountant and long-time user across different products. It's fantastic to hear your encouragement to other users around the quality of support, our teams really set high standards for themselves with the support experience and I love hearing that is resonating with you.

I absolutely do take on board the limitations you’ve highlighted too - particularly around reporting, and search functions in Reckon One. We know there are improvements to be made in these areas, and hearing directly from professionals like yourself helps us prioritise and validate those changes. On a positive note I can confirm both are on our roadmap and you absolutely will see improvements in both areas in the future.

In terms of sending through the issues you’ve collated – yes, absolutely, that would be very helpful. If you'd like, you can email them through to Abbey and she'll ensure they're passed on and tracked with the right people here, including myself. That way we can make sure nothing gets lost, and we can assess and prioritise them properly.

Thanks again for your support, your patience, and for encouraging others to stick with Reckon. Feedback like yours is exactly why we're doing this AMA – so we can hear what’s working, but also where we need to do better.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts, it’s clear you’ve been all been long-term users of the Personal Range which I really do appreciate.

Subscription pricing is the way almost all software providers license their software today including our competitors, as well as countless other organisations that you’ll likely use on a daily basis such as the likes of Microsoft, Google, Netflix, and many others. This approach has been phased in over many years and helps us, and all software companies, manage our own ongoing business costs and ensures we can continue providing the software and support our customers rely on.

Whilst I completely appreciate your perspectives and understand the frustration this shift may have caused over time, I need to be upfront and confirm all of our products will continue to be charged as a subscription. Annual subscriptions cover support, maintenance, compliance updates, and our own licensing costs to deliver the software to our clients.

Our costs continue to increase and we need to take that into account when reviewing our price increases. Any price changes we make are very carefully considered and again, reflect the rising costs as a business along with the costs maintaining and supporting this legacy technology. We recognise that the increases can feel significant, particularly for long-standing customers, and we want to assure you these decisions are not made lightly or with any intent of ‘taking advantage’ whatsoever.

I want to be clear that while we truly value you all as long-time Personal Range customers, you are not locked in. If you don’t feel you’re receiving $18.50 per month of value from the software, you do have the option to explore alternatives. Of course, we don’t want you to go anywhere, we love having you as customers but we do have very real and ongoing costs in delivering and supporting this product.

I also want to make it clear that your feedback is heard, and it reinforces for us how important the Personal Range continues to be for long-time users like yourselves. We will continue to maintain and support the product for many years to come, and we will also continue to invest heavily into Reckon One and hope one day soon it is a viable alternative for you to use.

    Hi Teresa,

I understand where you’re coming from. Each Reckon Accounts Hosted user login is designed for one individual, with its own unique MFA setup, and we’re required to have MFA at the login layer under the ATO’s security mandate for STP (Single Touch Payroll).

If you'd like another staff member to have their own credentials (and their own MFA), the option is to set up their own Reckon Accounts Hosted licence. You can then share your company file with this user so they can log in and work independently and securely without needing to rely on the admin providing them the MFA code.

I understand this may not always be the most practical solution if the second user isn’t accessing Hosted regularly, but it ensures compliance with security requirements and avoids disruptions when the primary admin isn’t available.

The alternative option I could suggest to you is exploring Reckon One. You can freely share your book (aka company file) to as many users as you like and they’ll each have their own MFA.

If you’d like to talk through what might work best for your setup please let us know.

Firstly, thank you for being with Reckon One for the past four years and its great to hear you’ve been happy with it!

Thank you also for sharing such a detailed list of suggestions, I really appreciate the time you’ve taken to provide this.

A number of the items you’ve mentioned such as memorised reports, improvements to bank transaction allocation through fast coding are actively being designed and worked on by our team right now as part of ongoing improvements and feedback like yours helps us prioritise where we focus, so it’s great to see this level of detail.

I’ll loop this in with our R&D and product teams for their consideration but I’ll also ask @Rav to ensure we have feature requests created in our Reckon One Ideas space on the Community for some of your suggestions if there isn’t already an existing one (ensure you add your vote if there is!). I’d like to ensure they are captured and gain visibility so that we can track them to ensure we’re delivering value in the areas you need.

Thanks so much for the kind words and for choosing Reckon One, I’m really pleased to hear you’re loving it so far!

I love this question so thank you for asking it! My own journey has been a progression of over 25 years. I first started out with a company called APS, which was later acquired by Reckon.

From there, I had the opportunity to lead APS, which was known as Reckon’s Accountants Division at the time, for many years, before becoming Managing Director for Australia. Around six years ago (which still feels surreal to me), I stepped into the Group CEO role here at Reckon.

I feel incredibly blessed and honoured to lead Reckon, and I’m grateful for the opportunities, connections and friendships I’ve made along the way. Even after 25 years, it feels like we’re just getting started.

We’ve spent a few years building, refining, and positioning Reckon One, and today I feel we’re in a very strong place; as a focused, Australian-owned and operated company ready to deliver affordable and valuable tools for SMEs and their partners across the country. We are laser focused on this, with a genuine commitment to service, quality, and affordability and I feel we are starting to hit our strides in delivering.

As for hurdles, competing with the big providers will always have its challenges, they have VERY big marketing budgets and can often make more noise than us and it makes it hard to reach clients and prospective clients and get our proposition in front of them. but what excites me is that we don’t need to be the biggest. Instead our advantage is agility, focus, value and a genuine commitment to our customers. We're super focused on listening, improving, and delivering real value without the unnecessary complexity or cost.

I’m excited about where we are today, and the quality of our team and culture we have, and what we are able to deliver today and into the future.

    Hey @DebW

I thought I'd take this one on behalf of Sam as I can speak more about the Community.

I definitely understand where you're coming from and you're right, each Reckon product does have its own quirks, interface and ways of doing things so I can see how it would be frustrating to wade through results that aren’t relevant to the software you’re using. You've given me some ideas on content to add to the Community for members to understand the best ways to navigate and use the site.

While the Community brings together support for all our products in one place, it’s actually structured into specific category pages for each Reckon software. When you’re in a specific product’s page — which you'll find here — any searches you make from there will only return results related to that product. Similarly, searching on the Ideas & Feature Requests space on the Community will only show ideas that have been submitted. Conversely, searching from the home page will yield results from the entire site as its the home page however this can also be filtered if required.

You do make a good point in regard to tags, at the moment tags apply across the entire Community but to give you a sneak peek, I've got an update in the works which will make tags more specific and focused by each Reckon product category. More on that to come so stay tuned.

Lastly, one of the ongoing projects I have is to evolve the Community into a hub or launching pad for all Reckon content. Navigation, search and discoverability of specific content is always a consideration I have on my mind and that will remain the case. Really appreciate the feedback on this, as I said you've certainly given me some ideas to work on.

    Cheers!

    Hi all,

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you who joined us for our very first AMA here on the Community.

Your time, your questions, and—most importantly—your feedback mean a great deal to us. It’s been incredibly valuable to hear directly from you about your experiences with our Reckon software, our team, our service, and our company. These conversations help shape the future of our products and processes, and we’re truly grateful for your openness and insights.

We’re always striving to improve and conversations like this help us better understand what matters most to you. On that note, our amazing head of Research & Design Kelly has just published an excellent post detailing the latest features and improvements that we've been busy working on in Reckon One which have come directly from customer feedback. You can read about this here.

We’re excited to keep the dialogue going and look forward to hosting more AMAs with different members of the Reckon team. Your voice is essential to our journey, and we’re committed to listening and evolving with you. Thank you again for being part of this community. It’s been a real pleasure connecting with you.
