Tax Table Update for STSL (24 September 2025) - Reckon Accounts Hosted 2025

On 2 August 2025, the Universities Accord (Cutting Student Debt by 20 Percent) Bill 2025 passed into legislation. The ATO has subsequently published new tax tables for employees with Study and Training Support Loans (STSL) effective from 24 September 2025.
Key info
π Applies to employees with an STSL (Study and Training Support Loans).
π Compulsory repayments for STSL are reduced.
π Updated formulas in Schedule 8 (NAT 3539) and PAYG tax tables.
π Effective fromΒ 24 September 2025Β for all payments made on or after that date.
π No changes apply to past payments.
Tax Table Update for Reckon Accounts Hosted 2025
A new tax table update will apply to Reckon Accounts Hosted 2025 from September 24. There is nothing you need to do, simply launch Reckon Accounts Hosted 2025 on that date and the new tax table will be in effect.
Important info
After the new tax update is applied, it will apply to all pay runs dated 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026. Please check out our help guide linked below for details on how to handle pay runs dated before and after 24 September 2025.
