Multiple Company Files in Reckon Accounts Hosted

I currently have three company files in my Reckon Accounts Hosted subscription which are for three business/trust entities that I operate. I only have a single user licence because I am the only person who accesses Reckon Accounts Hosted.
Today I received an email from Reckon saying that the number of company files in use goes beyond what is allowed for a single licence.
My understanding is that you can have multiple company files under a Reckon Accounts licence and as I am the only user I only require a single licence. I don't believe provide accounting or other services to other entities so I do not believe that I am in breach of my licence.
Can someone please clarify.

Zappy,
Apparently the clause from the Reckon-General-EULA is:
6.1 Use of all Products
(9) use the Product to hold or maintain the books and records of more than one legal entity or business;
Apparently they have not had the technology to track this type of thing in past, but now they do and they are starting to enforce it.
It has left a bad taste in my mouth, as I have been using Quickbooks/Reckon Accounts Hosted for about 30 years. Given the size of my small business I no doubt pay a premium for using Reckon Accounts Hosted, but I am very proficient at using the platform and reluctant to change. The other two company files are very small in relation to the main company file and certainly would not justify additional subscriptions.
I am considering my options.

if the other files are not legal entities I don't think that would be applicable. if they have an ABN then it would

Yes they do have an ABN, although one is just a personal ABN for a side hustle.

That's a crazy sudden price increase you've been hit with. I expect Reckon should at least be able to help you until you can consider the alternatives. I never thought Hosted was cheap for a single entity. $85.00 / month for single user. Compared to the competition thats not good. And of course 85.00 / month for additional users. This pricing is almost punitive. There is no logic in this.

I admit to not having read the EULA but, many years ago when Reckon hosted conferences/roadshows, I have heard their staff talk up fact that you could use it for multiple companies on the one license. At one of these sessions somebody commented that this provided Reckon with a competitive advantage of MYOB. (I'm not sure if staff or another attendee made this remark, but nobody from Reckon challenged this statement.)

Bruce,
I have seen quite a few past posts in Community where people have said that they switched to Reckon Accounts Hosted as it was more cost effective than say Xero which charged a separate fee for each company.

Different licences for each company but also unlimited users. So probably not directly comparable on price. Hosted is a per user login.

Still waiting for an answer here
Is there a limit on the number of files I can have?
When was this notified to us?
What is the offer for people who are forced to transition away from Reckon because the increased cost?
What kind of notice are you giving before throwing people off?
