    Thanks for this @Rav

This seems like a different way to do tax tables than before? Is this new?

    Sure is @Eric Murphy!

The latest release of Reckon Accounts Desktop v34 includes a new, more streamlined method for updating tax tables (and super guarantee rates). Now, its all handled within your install of Reckon Accounts Desktop, you simply have to select the option to get the latest tables outlined above and it'll pull the latest tax update from our server.

Note: As mentioned above the latest tax table update for STSL will only be available from 24 September.

    Hi,

I do not have direct access to the internet from my Reckon Desktop. Is there another way I can get the tax table update please?

I did try the 'Get latest tax tables' just incase but only get an error:

    Hi @Jody

You will need an internet connection in order to grab the latest tax table update as it will pull this update down from our server.

Are you able to temporarily connect your PC/laptop to the internet just for this update? Its a very small update in terms of file size so won't require much data.

I will need to check with our IT department but I do not think so as we have to manually login to Reckon connect via Google Chrome. Will this be the way we have to access tax tables for EOY from now on also? Not by the system update?

IT have asked me to ask:

Our Reckon accounts is connected through a fire wall. Is there a list of web addresses and port numbers we need to enable on the firewall to get access to the updates?

That's correct, this is the new automatic method in which to update tax tables so you won't have to manually download and update files anymore.

I'd recommend providing this article to your IT team, it contains the port numbers and exceptions if you're running your own firewall and/or server - https://help.reckon.com/article/kw3lf4excb-kba-4013-quick-books-is-unable-to-communicate-with-the-company-file-on-another-computer
