Toolbar Preference Settings

In Preferences / General you can select the option under Toolbar to 'Enable the toolbar to collapse when in a minimized screen mode'
The problem is you have to make this selection every time you login.
Please, instead of a box to tick each time, PLEASE make this a radio button that you can select once to make this option permanent in settings.

Doesn't it stay hidden the next time you login?

Sadly no it doesn't. Which is very frustrating:(

Hi @hmfgroup
Just wanted to jump in and clarify the behaviour here. Your preference settings to hide the Reckon Accounts Hosted toolbar will remain enabled if you've ticked it even after you've logged out and started a new session later on. You shouldn't need to tick this each time you login.
The only difference is, the next time you start a new session, while the toolbar will display, (basically to let you know its still there if you need it), you just need to click the little chevron button to hide it.

Hi Rav, I just logged out and logged back in and the toolbar is visible, but the chevron below it is NOT there, so I click on Preferences and it opens the Preferences pop-up window and the Toolbar button is empty, i.e., the tick is no longer there.
I appreciate any advice you can give me.
Thanks/Phil.

Hmm that's interesting. I tested it out a few times on my file after seeing your initial post and in my case, the preference setting is retained and the chevron button displays.
Which browser are you using? I tested on Google Chrome which is the supported browser for Hosted, is that what you're using as well?

Also, and this is important, when you end your session are you using File ➡️ Exit OR some other method of exiting Hosted? If its not the former, can you let me know how you're ending your session?

Hi Rav, I use Firefox. Based on your comment at 10:14, I logged in on Chrome ticked the toolbar option, logged out and then logged back in and the same behaviour played out, no chevron visible and the tick was no longer there.
Also, every time I logout I follow the file/exit method.
Thoughts?

That's quite strange.
I've put together a quick little screen recording of a test I just ran a few minutes ago on my own RAH login. It essentially shows me going through the process of enabling the hide toolbar setting then logging out (using File ➡️ Exit) and then back in where you'll see the chevron button displays when the new session starts.
I also added a bit in there as well where I log off the session from the RAH control panel but that was more so just for good measure rather than anything necessary that you need to do. It is however essential that you end the session using File ➡️ Exit and not any other method, although it sounds as though you're already doing that.
Can I get you to check out my screen recording attached below and just compare whether you're doing anything particularly different to my example?

Hi Rav,
Thanks for sending me the recording. I tried it again on bth Firefox and Chrome, no different. Then I looked at your recording again, I noticed that after you do the File/Exit on what is the 2nd tab, you close that tab but then you go back to the 1st tab and go into Control Panel and Log Off Remote Sessions. I have never done this, I just close the 1st tab. So I did this extra step and it worked .. the chevron was visible and the Toolbar option remains ticked.
I have always followed the File/Exit protocol … but I was never aware it was necessary to take the extra step to go back to the 1st tab and Log Off there as well????

To be honest, I just added that step in as a little bit of an extra in the first recording example as mentioned above, its not so much necessary so you shouldn't have to do that.
To illustrate that, I've added another recording below where it shows me enabling the Hide Toolbar preference, exiting my file (File ➡️ Exit), logging out and then back in and the preference is still enabled.
I'm still a little puzzled as to why it was different for you though 🤔. Now that you performed that extra step of logging off your session, does the hide toolbar preference remain enabled upon further successive logins?

For what it's worth, I've been in and out of Hosted throughout the day and the button to hide the bar has shown each time
