Reckon home Inventory 2025

I have just installed Reckon Personal Plus V31 on my Windows 11 PC. All good, all working. BUT - no sign of the Reckon Home Inventory software; the file I downloaded seems to be for Personal Plus only. When I try to open Reckon Home Inventory from within the new V31 software, I get a notice saying the Home Inventory seems not to be installed. I still have the old version of Home Inventory installed on my PC, so my V31 Personal Plus softweare is obviously looking for new Home Inventory software or has lost the link to the old HI software. Can someone please tell me where to get the new Home Inventory software from?

Incidentally, let me just note that the lady at Reckon who talked to me about this issue told me this isn't an install issue, so she couldn't help me; I was somewhat astounded by this assertion, and found it a very unhelpful response from Reckon.

Many thanks in advance for anyone who can help with this.

    Hi @Karl Baker

When you installed the latest v31 edition did you select the option to also install Home Inventory Manager as well?

If not, then I'd recommend trying out the steps in our help guide here - https://help.reckon.com/article/vdjlnqz4tm

I didn't notice such an option - I suppose it was possible I missed it, but I thought I was pretty careful if reading the detaiuls through the installation process. Anyway, followed your recommendation, founfd the Home Inventory file, and restarted the computer after the Home Inventory software install as the process advised, and now I can't open the Personal Plus software - a message comes up saying that there was no 'valid licence for this computer' found. I had already entered the Installation Key Code given to me by Reckon today, so I don't understand why PP can't find it. The message is saying I modified my computer or have installed the PP softwareon a new computer - neither of these apply. My Windows 11 did have an update when I restarted - surely this isn't the cause of the problem, given I have a new Windows update automatically most months? 3 steps forwar, 2 back?

OK, an update on this issue. I called Reckon back regarding this, and they put me through to Technical Support. It turned out that I just had to reapply the Instalation Key code again to get the Personal Plus V31 softwareworking again. However, when I tried to open the Home Inventory software from within Personal Plus V31, I got the same response as earlier this morning - i.e. PP couldn't find a copy of the Home Inventory (HI) software. I am hesitant to reinstall the HI software in case I get the same result as earlier (i.e. a message when I try to open PP saying I have changed or modified my computer. Anyone out there got any ideas on this? Very Frustrating!!!

I have the same issue also and have tried installing the Home Inventory application again as outlined. I had uninstalled the previous version and then did the restart and no good.

    Hi @Gavjeff

Just to confirm, did you follow the process outlined in the article linked above to enable .Net Framework 3.5 prior to the installation?

I was told that Home Inventory no longer exists.

You're thinking of Hubb Investor, not Home Inventory Manager
