Problem With Entering Transfers in Reckon Accounts Personal Plus

For years, I have been successfully using the transfer function between various Bank Accounts.

What I have been doing when transferring money from one bank account to another is as follows: In the bank account that the money is going out of enter a transaction and, in the Category field, select Transfers from the drop down menu and then select the Bank Account to which I am transferring the amount.

I have just set up two new Cheque accounts but the transfers I have done to those accounts as described above do not appear.

The transfers are still working for previous bank accounts.

What am I doing wrong with the new accounts and how do I get this to work please?

Can’t you just go to the write cheques window and enter a cheque from one bank, use transfer as the payee and enter the new bank in the account section. I don’t use Personal so may not be an option

    Hi @GeorgeDeutsch4213,

Could you please double check the accounts type by going to Tools > Accounts List? Ensure that it's a Chequing or Bank account for me.

Also, you can use the Transfer option in in the account you are transferring money from and to account instead of having to manually enter them:

Let me know, if this has helped you or if you require further assistance.

    Thank you.

    Thanks Luke

The two accounts that I using to transfer from and to are both listed as Cheque Accounts.

And I have been using the Transfer Option for years and have tried to use it on this occasion but it doesn't work.

I would be grateful if you could sort this out for me please.

Shall I take a screen shot of the accounts list and post it here?

    Hi @GeorgeDeutsch4213,

If you could please, I will take a look at the accounts for you and see if I can notice anything out of the ordinary.

    Thank you.

I think I could probably use the cheque facility but it would be clunky as compared to what is supposed to happen with transfers.

I am transferring from GDC Super Fund to GDC Super MCQ Accelerator but the transfer doesn't show up in the MCQ Acct. I've added quite a few screenshots:

Click on these to see the account details and this is followed by the Account List.

This is the Transfer List when I click transfers in the category cell:

And this is one of the transactions that doesn't show up in the destination account.

    I HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!

The account I was trying to transfer to was not showing in the transfer list because I created it as a savings account. I changed it to a spending account and it now works as I expected it to work.

Sorry to have wasted your time!
