Hi @Rav

I saw a reply from @Jason_Z in a post regarding marking questions as answered however it does not apply to discussions.

What's the difference?

    Hi @Eric Murphy

I didn't even know there was a difference until I was asking Rav about it!

The main difference between discussion and question posts comes down to their purpose:

    • Question posts are meant for when you’re looking for a specific answer or solution. These have an option to mark it as answered once your question has been resolved and floats the response to the top. It also just makes it easy for any fellow members to see it in future if they come across the post.
    • Discussion posts, on the other hand, are better for open-ended topics, things like sharing ideas, gathering feedback, or starting a conversation where there isn’t necessarily one right answer.

So if you’re asking for help with something that can be “solved,” a question post is best. But if you want to chat, brainstorm, or get opinions, go with a discussion post.

Hope that helps clear things up!
