Gov connect issues, now STP won't upload

Question

It all started when I forgot my password, then STP was originally setup with an old email address, so haven't got access to that email address anymore. Finally after signing a carefully worded Stat Dec was able to get my new email address put in as the one to use. Then finally managed to login, hooray I thought, but no, now when I try to upload an STP file nothing happens. I select the file and the report type screen just sits there like it's waiting for me to select a file, so I try again and again and again. I am now about 4 pay periods behind with reporting and beyond frustrated.

Hi @SueB

In addition to the awesome advice from Shaz above, can you advise whether you are creating the STP file in Reckon Accounts as a normal pay run submission or are you creating it as an update event or full file replacement?

If its just a normal STP file you're creating, are you selecting the New Pay Run option in GovConnect as shown in Shaz's first screenshot above?

Lastly, which browser are you using to access GovConnect? Does the same thing occur if you login to GovConnect from a different browser just as a test?

Check your Company Information in your accounting software - particularly the Company Name, ABN (“Tax Rego ID”) & Branch No - match EXACTLY with how these are shown on your STP portal tile:

Any additional/missing characters - in particular special characters &/or spaces - will prevent the upload displaying due to the mismatch.

Have tried both sorts of uploads, only have product tile.
