Not finding backup files

I have a file on my PC, copied from a memory stick, but "find Reckon Accounts Files" doesn't find it.

The file name is XXXXXX_20260413.rkn. and is in my desktop

I find it impossible to use the program when I cannot restore the backup.

At the moment I have the memory stick in the PC, also with the same name (naturally), and I would appreciate simple instructions as to how to update.

I constantly have this problem trying to transfer from one licensed PC to another licensed PC in a different location.

I could be wrong about this but I believe the Find Reckon Accounts Files option will locate QDF files rather than backup .rkn files.

If you know the file is on your desktop, is there a particular reason you're looking for it?

Are you trying to restore the backup to open the file? If so, are you selecting the option to restore via File ➡️ Restore Backup file?

Thanks for the update. Glad its working now!

You convert it from the Reckon Program by going to FILE, Restore Backup File and finding the .RKN on your desktop
