Blocking of email system when statements opened

Hi,we are using Hosted 2016 and we are having trouble when our customers open their statements.

Customers are getting blocked from opening, or if they can open, then they can't close the email without the attached alert.

This is not something we have had a problem with in the past, and has only been happening for a week or so(that we are aware of).

Is this a possible virus attachment or genuine microsoft alert?

Hello Bob,

Welcome to the Reckon Community.

The error is a Microsoft Outlook message and you need to look there - please have your customers review their Outlook security settings, and if necessary, refer to their IT consultants

This article may be of help - there was a recent Outlook security update that now blocks attachments with additional dots before the extension - as your email appears to have.  Remove the last dot in the Company file name in  Company > Company Information > Company Name.  Generate your email again and do you get a better result?
