My personal plus small business has found an extraordinary value that bears no resemblance to anything I can find, for the opening balance, when I try to do a reconciliation. I have recently installed 2015,Please tell me how I fix this mad opening balance using entries. So I can get my tax work done.

Hi Lorraine,
Welcome to the Reckon Community.
If you close and reopen Personal Plus do you still have the same problem?
If so, Validate and SuperValidate the file (File > File Operations > Validate; to supervalidate, hold down the Ctrl and Shift Keys as you select Validate).
Do these steps make a difference?
regards,
John

I worked out the the $ difference & found that Quicken has unreconciled one entry that I had previously reconciled in my 2012 13 year. so I am about to reconcile that and I know that will give me the correct amount in my reconcile opening balance. Thank you for the help. I have other problems with quicken/Rekon, just minor but annoying ones that I will get the community to help me with. like " Enter a valid date"......when the date IS valid......

Hi Lorraine,
You will experience this problem if your computer date is set to the wrong Regional Setting or format.
WorkaroundSet your computer’s Region and Language settings to English (Australia)
1. Control Panel > Region and Language > format
2. In the Format box, select English (Autralia)
3. In Date and time formats, check that the Short date is selected to d/MM/yyyy;
4. Click OK to save.
Cheers
Mustafa
