Is it possible to allocate bank feed transactions to an invoice or bill directly from the 'New' transactions banking tab, or do I first have to add the payment to each invoice/bill before it can be "matched"?

TIA!

    Hi Liam,

When viewing the 'New' transactions banking tab where you have money in or money out entries available that haven't yet entered/recorded in your book. You can action these against open invoices & bills as follows.

When you have a money in entry available that relates to an open invoice, click the 'Allocate receipt' option & then directly beneath that click the 'Allocate detailed receipt' option.

This opens the receipt form where you can select your contact & access the open invoice via the 'Allocate' tab in the receipt form.

If you go to the Allocate detailed payment and want to split the amount between two lines, is there a way to calculate this in the amount column. For example, if I have a $50 transaction that I want to allocate 1/2 to fuel and 1/2 to drawings, is there a way to calculate what 1/2 of $50 is in the square. In Quickbooks I used to be able to just type 50/2 and press enter and 25 would come up in the square. Thanks
