Fails to open except from memory stick backup

Personal Plus 2016 fails to open normally after several years of using Reckon, with no problems, I have to copy my memory stick backup file every time I want to start. After using it, I do the normal backup to hard drive, but the next time I want to start I have to use the memory stick every time. Any solutions?

    Check this - Open PP, Under File Menu>Open - Confirm Look in Quicken - points to - This PC>Documents>Quicken

    Reckon used to go straight to a working page. Now, it treats me as if I was a band new account and I have to go through the routing to manually point it to the saved account file. It DOES point to C:\ Reckon\Backup when I see the details and it is not a read only atribute
