Accounts have vanished from my computer

Went to do my accounts today to find they have vanished. The base program has gone. i get the message !sFileBuffer.empty0 . so i tried to reinstall it and it keeps saying it is interrupted before the program can install. and i deleted my virus protection and still to no avail.

Hi Leanne,
Go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Intuit\Quickbooks\Company Files and see if the QBW files (the Company Files) are still there. If not look in the Backup folder to see if the backups copies are still there (I hope you did do backups).
If they are then the software has lost track of the file locations and it needs to be refreshed. I gather the base program is your Reckon program.
Do you have either the DVD or a copy of the installation file for the software and importantly the Installation key saved somewhere you can access it because if you need to reinstall the program you will need it.

Thank you Robert. I do back ups of my actual accounts, but cannot open them due to no reckon program to recognise it. I have tried numerous times to install the program again with the installation key, including deleting my avast off the system because it tells you to disable your antivirus. The message i then get is This installation was interrupted before installation could be installed.????
When i do click into my accounts these are the messages i get.0 -
Hi Leanne,
The program itself disappearing from your PC sounds really strange. The messages that you're getting at the moment when you're trying to reinstall looks to be due to residual components of the program remaining on your PC which need to be removed.
